Individual Performance Development
The IPD (Interactive Performance Development)
process was first developed in 1994 to address the five most common problems with performance assessment:
- The problems with grading
- The ratcheting up effect
- Report carding which looks back not forward
- Inconsistent organization language or performance standards
- The problems with narrative
The IPD , considered to be one of the
most powerful and useful performance development tools, is a performance feedback and assessment
instrument that graphically exposes the gaps in existing perceptions about someone's performance.
This user-friendly instrument measures 33 performance characteristics in these six major performance
areas:
- Leadership
- Interpersonal skills
- Work style
- Communication style
- Fiscal accountability
- Management style
The IPD can be used in a 360° manner,
a simple one-way performance development process for an employee, or a two-way interactive perception
check.
The IPD is easily retrofitted to fit
your company's needs and culture.
