Richard L. Sprague

...is the founder and President of Xcelle, Inc. Building on 22 years of consulting work in board development, executive coaching, and strategic planning, he has developed a partnership with CML Research, LLC, to concentrate on data-driven organization and leadership development. Since 1983, he has served over 130 corporations and more than 17,000 people in individual and group work.

His work is focused on personal and professional accountability, the development of people skills, communication and effective feedback processes, and leadership development.

Richard is a frequent speaker, lecturer and workshop leader. He is the author of a number of articles and training programs including: The High Cost of Personal Transitions, Little Deaths in Big Business, CALM, a training program in Career and Life Management, and Leveling, The Art of Communicating About Performance, a popular program that teaches managers how to give very candid feedback about performance.

He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Puget Sound, a master's degree from Iliff, and a doctorate from Vanderbilt University.

A skier, tennis player, and musician, he has his home and offices in Lafayette, California.
Greg Lobdell

....is the Co-Founder and Partner of CML Research, LLC, (Xcelle's partner organization) where he manages the design and application of tools that measure and quantify strengths and opportunities for improvement within an organization.

Greg began his undergraduate studies at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point N.Y. and completed a bachelor of science in computer science and applied mathematics at Washington State University. He entered the high-tech industry in 1981 as a software developer for Hewlett-Packard's Personal Computer Systems Division in Palo Alto, California.

In 1983 Greg joined Microsoft Corporation in Redmond, Washington. At Microsoft, Greg directed the development, program management, and worldwide marketing for over 75 Microsoft products in his roles as software developer, program and product manager. In 1993 Greg became Group Manager of the Windows NT Workstation business and in 1995 was named Director of Product Management for Microsoft Exchange Server and other collaboration products.

In 1997 Greg left Microsoft to do research, training and product development in organizational effectiveness and performance achievement analysis.
Sue Mills

...is the Co-founder of CML Research, LLC, (Xcelle's partner organization) where she serves as the Executive Director of the Center for Educational Effectiveness.

Sue earned her Master of Arts in Education from the University of Minnesota and spent 27 years in public education as a secondary teacher, team leader and special projects leader. Her outstanding teaching and curriculum development led to recognition as the 1995 Christa McAuliffe Fellow for the state of Washington.

Sue has been trained in "People Skills" and "Train the Trainer" courses through The Effectiveness Institute and uses those principles of effectiveness in training and development of curriculum for CML Research, LLC and the Center for Educational Effectiveness.

Through her work with local leaders and participation on several community boards such as the Kirkland Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, Kirkland Police Department Citizens Advisory Task Force, Partnerships for Lake Washington School District, Redmond Youth Partnership, Redmond Chamber of Commerce Workforce Development Committee, Sue has gained a perspective of effective boards and non-profit organizations. This experience has shaped her work with Xcelle, Inc., serving to improve individual, board and organizational effectiveness in the non-profit and corporate sectors.
Kristi Royse

...is a nationally recognized speaker, well-educated management development consultant and trainer. An experienced operator turned consultant, Kristi is passionate about assisting businesses at the unit level in creating environments that lead to systemic improvement.

Kristi is Xcelle's "eternal optimist" who focuses on practical methods of improving an organization's effectiveness and people's performance.

Her recent work with the POLE» series of tools finds her concentrating on three industries with which she has significant experience:
- Restaurant/ Foodservice
- Franchise/ Retail
Kristi is an active member of the National Speaker's Association, American Society of Training and Development, Institute of Management Consultants, San Francisco Professional Food Society, and Women Chefs and Restaurateurs, Golden Gate Restaurant Association.
Tom Champoux (Associated Consultant)

...is a nationally recognized speaker and energizing trainer who challenges long-held myths about leadership. Drawing on over 25 years experience as a teacher, coach, and trainer, he believes that those who do not balance the relationship between people skills and technical skills will have difficulty succeeding in today's fast-paced market place. The heart of Tom's work lies in creating an organizational climate built around empowerment and the exchange of trust, respect and dignity.

Co-founder and Executive Vice President of the Effectiveness Institute, Tom works with people at all levels of an organization to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of their working relationships. Tom dramatically demonstrates the need for organizations to shift focus away from power and toward collaborative responsibility.

He is widely known for his addresses at national conventions and annual meetings on such topics as "Teams That Work," "The Changing Role of Leadership," and "The Importance of People Skills."

Most recently Tom has been a significant contributor to the development of the POLE» process and series of tools.
